Request for help

Postby bograt1918 on Thu Apr 02, 2009 1:12 am

Hey guys,

I know it's been a while since I checked in with everyone, but two children under 27 months of age will do that to you. I have a request for help.

Some of you may remember that I am teaching a high school class this semester on The Great War with an English teacher friend of mine (I do the history, he does the literature and poetry--right now they are reading All Quiet on the Western Front...next they read Kipling's Choice).

Our "final exam" is a project where are students are building a trench in the theater on May 20-21 and are then going to take other classes through it on tours. We have plans for a HQ bunker, a dressing station, a rest bunker, and a section of trench with a mine shaft opening. I have our students organized into one section of the 2nd Battalion, Irish Guards, a detachment of the Royal Engineers, and some auxillaries--Red Cross, Salvation Army, and RAMC.

What we could really use are labels for food, medicines, ammunition boxes, etc. If you have any labels you could donate to this project, please send them my way. Send them to:

I'm sorry we can't pay you for the labels, but the grant we received to pull this off is covering building materials. I'll post pictures when we are done. If you have any other props you can suggest or donate, please let me know.

Thanks for any help you can provide. :D

Hey John,
Is it too late to help out? I can burn a CD with some labels and send it to you if it helps. Let me know.
