ground sheet

ground sheet

Postby Benjamin McGee on Mon Feb 16, 2009 11:50 pm

Yet another question,

Where should I get a ground sheet from? WPG has a WW2 version which I'm told is the same thing. Shipper Fabrik has one as well for a little more $$. Any thoughts?

Yet another great question Ben, but I have a pretty lame answer for you!

AIF Quartermaster (Now out of business) used to be the only shop in town for groundsheets.

Both Schipper and WPG are new to the groundsheet business, and I don't know of anyone who has bought one of theirs yet to give a product review. Given their track record, WPG makes good stuff for a good price, and Schipper makes top end stuff but you will pay a touch more.

My wild guess would be WPG's is good, Schipper a little better....but as I said, just a wild guess!

Maybe someone else has bought one and can shed some more light on your options. I know that doesn't help much.

I got mine from AIF (now out of business). I would guess that Schipper is the better route. All comes down to price. I would guess that Schipper would have some to inspect at the next GWA event so you could always wait and see what theirs looks like and then decide if it is worth the money.
