Hello everyone-
Thaught you'd enjoy seeing (assuming the image works) what happens in our sector at other events. Here we have the Russian WWII 37th Rifles Guards Division in the British Guards trenches in Febuary 2008. Newville in winter was fun and I dont think Ive ever been colder than I was sleeping in the British field HQ just to the left of this position on Friday night! Hope you all enjoy!

British Guards Meet Russian Guards

Dan,

Glad to see the site getting used in the dead of winter.
Glad to see the sandbags holding up in the dead of winter.
I was actually worried that they might get knocked about as we've seen in the past.

How did the dug out look?
Was the dug out dry inside?
Was the dug out roof leaking, or was it holding out the melting snow?

Based on your photo...it looked COLD!!!!
Glad I missed that one!!!

dugout snow

The dugout actually seemed to be holding up well, aside from a few drips here and there the roof really did well at keeping out the snow, and I was suprised how well the earthworks held out in the heavy snow, all in all the site was looking really good!
